The problem
Corporate donors and CSR committees committed substantial capital to social impact projects but struggled with governance. Without verifiable proof of project milestones, capital was exposed to delivery delays, scope creep, and misapplication. Board members and audit committees needed transparent, tamper-evident records before authorizing fund tranches.
What I built
A high-throughput enterprise governance platform built on Node.js:
- Milestone-Based Escrow Engine: Structured automated fund release schedules tied to verified deliverable sign-offs, protecting capital allocations until contractors submit approved deliverables.
- Evidence-Verification Workflow: Multi-step submission pipeline allowing field officers to upload geo-tagged photo evidence, invoices, and progress reports for committee sign-off.
- Multi-Tenant RBAC & Board Dashboards: Granular role-based access control separating corporate donors, implementing partners, field officers, and external auditors.
- Audit-Ready ESG Reporting: Automated compliance report generator compiling real-time financial tracking and impact metrics for executive board meetings.
Outcome
- Live in production at csrise.africa, serving corporate social responsibility programs.
- Streamlined disbursement approvals from weeks of manual email threads into a structured, trackable digital workflow.
- Complete auditability across every funding milestone and contractor deliverable.
